From initial consultation, through planning, quoting and specifying, design repair/re-manufacture and installation we have an intimate knowledge of the older skills and ways to benefit any “Age Sensitive” metalworking needs.
We have worked closely with other trades including Stonemasons, Bricklayers, Carpenters and Glazers to re-create both functional and decorative structures from a Bygone Age. These projects have included:-
- Dismantle, Restoration and Reinstate Victorian Glazed Canopy at Heathfield House, Cale Green, Stockport. (c.1880)
- Dissassembley, re-manufacture metal parts and partial re-assembley of Working Water Wheel, Styal Mill, Cheshire. (c.1800)
- Workshop Restoration and re-manufacture missing moving parts for Medieval working Portcullis. (Date unknown)
- Preparation, cleaning, painting and production of specilist parts to form a Museum exhibit of early Cast Iron Mill Structure for University of Manchester to display at Pompideu Centre, Paris. (c.1780)
- Removal, Preparation, Restoration/Sensitive localised repair then refinish and Re-instate Wrought/Cast Iron Gates and Window Frames from Edwardian Office Building Re-furbishment, Manchester City Centre. (c.1905)
- Re-manufacture of numerous small components for working/show vintage, veteran and classic vehicles including cars, commercials, motorcycles and boats.
